In-person & online across New York
The Self-Trust Reset
For the woman who's tired of self-abandoning, overfunctioning, and doubting herself.
A deep healing experience for high-achieving women who are done keeping it all together on the outside, spiraling after boundaries, and second-guessing themselves - and who are finally ready to feel calm in their body, trust their inner voice, and start putting their needs first.
This is a deep, accelerated healing experience offered in-person over 1-2 days in NYC, or virtually across NY, NJ, DC, and MD. Sessions are 3-4 hours each to allow space for nervous system work, somatic healing, and true integration.
What is the self trust reset?
This isn’t just a longer therapy session.
It’s a nervous system-based, trauma-informed reset for the part of you that knows all the patterns - but still struggles to speak up, set boundaries, and feel calm in your body.
The Self-Trust Reset is a focused, deep-dive healing experience designed for high-achieving, emotionally aware women who feel stuck in patterns of self-abandonment, anxiety, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, and/or codependent patterns - even after years of therapy or self-work.
You’re likely the one who always holds it all together - the responsible one, the “mature one,” the fixer. You can sense when something’s off in the room before anyone says a word. You’ve spent so long tending to others that you’ve lost touch with your own needs, your own voice, and what it feels like to truly rest.
This reset is for the moments when:
-You’ve already journaled, analyzed, or talked it out
-You know your patterns - but can’t seem to shift them
-You try to set boundaries, but spiral with guilt or panic after
-You still don’t fully trust yourself, your intuition, your needs, or your voice
- No matter how much work you do, your nervous system is still stuck in fight
or flight, freeze, or fawn
In this work, we slow down. We go deeper.
We bring your body into the healing process - so insight becomes integration, and your system can finally stop living in survival mode.
You don’t have to keep “holding it all together” and “perform.” You get to show up as you authentically and finally start to truly heal.
IS this you?
This reset is a good fit for you if:
You look like you have it all together - but feel constantly overwhelmed inside
You spiral after setting a boundary, replaying the conversation in your head for hours
You second-guess your feelings, your needs, and your worth
You over-function and over-give in every relationship and rarely ask for help
You feel guilty when you rest, and anxious when you say no
You feel numb, shut down, or “not fully here” when you're overwhelmed
You don’t trust that calm or stillness is safe - or that you’re allowed to have it
You don’t even know what your needs are because you’ve had to be so attuned to others
You’re constantly scanning for others’ needs, moods, or reactions - waiting for the other shoe to drop - and rarely feel fully relaxed and safe
You’ve done the therapy, read the books, listened to the podcasts…and you’re still stuck repeating these patterns
You know what the patterns are. You just don’t know how to stop living in them
This isn’t because you’re broken by the way - it’s because your nervous system learned to survive and protect you this way. And now…it’s time to shift, heal, and finally focus on YOU!
It’s Not You. It’s the Structure.
You’re insightful. You’ve done the therapy. You know your patterns.
But still - you keep overfunctioning, shutting down, second-guessing, or spiraling after boundaries.
And it’s not because you’re doing it wrong.
It’s because traditional weekly therapy isn’t always enough to shift what’s happening in your body.
When You’re in Survival Mode, 50 Minutes Isn’t Enough
You get to the hard part - the memory, the trigger, the truth you’ve been avoiding -
and then the session ends. There’s no time to breathe, process, or let your body catch up.
You walk out with insight…but no space to integrate it.
In survival mode, healing needs more than insight. It needs time & internal safety.
And weekly therapy isn’t always built for that.
Healing Requires More Than Insight
You may already know what’s going on.
You know you overfunction. You know your nervous system is dysregulated. You know calm doesn’t feel safe.
But insight alone doesn’t create change - embodied experience does.
The Self-Trust Reset gives you time to stay with what comes up, explore it gently, and actually regulate through it, so it lands in your system - not just your mind.
What Healing Will Actually
Look Like Here:
Nervous System Regulation
Learn to recognize your stress responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) and use somatic tools to move through them with more safety, calm, and control.
Inner Critic & Shame Work
Identify the deep-rooted beliefs keeping you stuck (like “I’m too much” or “I don’t matter”) - and begin to shift them with compassion, curiosity, and nervous system safety.
Rebuilding Self-Trust
Reconnect with your inner voice - so you can stop second-guessing yourself, feel clear about your needs, and start honoring your truth.
Healing Hypervigilance
Stop constantly scanning for what others need and start listening to yourself. Learn to slow down, soften, and feel safe inside your own body. This isn’t about more insight - it’s about actually feeling the shift in your nervous system and relationships.
Boundaries Without the Backlash
Set boundaries without spiraling into guilt, fear, or shutdown. Learn to hold your ground while staying regulated and connected.
Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Skills
Learn present-moment practices that help you feel more grounded, less reactive, and able to respond to your needs without judgment.
1
Pre-Intensive Session
Before your intensive, we’ll meet for a virtual 90 minute intake to build trust, explore your history, clarify your goals, build emotional regulation tools, and make sure you feel grounded before we begin.
You’ll also receive a customized prep workbook with:
-What to expect
-Journal prompts
-Nervous system check-ins
-Values, needs, and boundaries inventories
-Psychoeducation to help you feel emotionally and physically prepared
-Assessments so I can better prepare and support
This is our time to co-create safety and clarity - so the deeper work feels contained, intentional, and supportive.
2
Intensive Sessions
This is where the real shift happens!
In these longer-format sessions, we go deeper than talk therapy - using EMDR, somatic healing, and nervous system work to help your body finally process what it's been holding onto for years.
You won’t just “talk about” your patterns - you’ll experience what it feels like to move through them in real time.
We might:
- Use EMDR to gently revisit the roots of stuck beliefs like “I’m not enough” “I’m unworthy” or “My needs don’t matter” - and reprocess them with safety
- Work somatically to track sensations, tension, or freeze responses in the body - and release what’s been trapped in your system
- Practice nervous system regulation tools that shift you out of survival mode
- Connect with younger parts of you through inner child and parts work
- Use mindful self-compassion to soften shame, soothe the inner critic, and give yourself the kindness you give to others
Every part of this is personalized to your nervous system, your story, and your pace. This is deep work - but it’s also deeply supported.
3
Integration
After the last intensive, at least a week later, we’ll meet again to reflect on what came up, anchor your insights, and turn those shifts into lasting change.
You’ll also receive a personalized integration workbook with:
- Journal prompts to help integrate what you learned and released
- A regulation + reflection toolkit
- Self-compassion and parts work prompts
- Grounding exercises and next steps
- Resources and practices to support your nervous system long-term
This is where it all starts to stick. I will also give you any recommendations for next steps.

Hi, I’m Alyssa - and I created these intensives for people who are ready to go deeper.
I’m a licensed therapist specializing in EMDR, somatic healing, and relational trauma. I work with women who are self-aware, high-achieving, and tired of feeling stuck in anxiety, burnout, people pleasing, painful relationships patterns, and internalized shame or inner critic beliefs - even after years of talk therapy.
These intensives are for the moments when weekly sessions just aren’t enough - when something old keeps resurfacing, or you’re craving a real shift in how you feel, relate, and show up.
I bring a warm, grounded, and individualized approach to every intensive I offer. I love to teach the tools to help you ground and regulate your nervous system and I will guide you through somatic, mindfulness, breathing exercises and mindful self compassion exercises if you are open to it!
Whether we’re working together for a few hours or a full day, you’ll have the space, tools, and support to move through what’s been holding you back - with care, compassion, and pacing that honors your nervous system. Excited to connect with you!
Let’s connect and see if this is right for you!

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence based trauma treatment that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories, emotions, moments, negative beliefs, and emotional patterns so they no longer feel as triggering, overwhelming, or impactful to you.
We use bilateral stimulation (which activates the right and left centers of the brain) - like eye movements, tapping, and/or sound - to help the brain “digest” stuck experiences and build new, adaptive beliefs.
It’s not about reliving trauma or old memories, but creating new pathways of safety, self-trust, and emotional regulation.
While originally developed for PTSD, EMDR is also highly effective for:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Attachment wounds and relationship issues
Low self-worth and inner criticism
People-pleasing and perfectionism
Burnout and emotional overwhelm
Life transitions or grief
Childhood experiences that still feel unresolved
Body image issues
You don’t need to have a single “big trauma” for EMDR to be helpful. It’s often the smaller, repeated moments of disconnection or invalidation that leave the deepest imprint - and EMDR helps you shift those patterns at the root.
-
Traditional therapy is often limited to 50-minute sessions, which can make it feel time limited and cut you off right when you’re in the midst of a breakthrough or big insight. Then you have to wait another week to do it again and the process continues.
Intensives offer a spacious, uninterrupted time to focus fully on healing. You’ll have the time and nervous system support to move through what’s keeping you stuck without feeling rushed or fragmented. And you get the chance to keep going when we’re in the midst of flow!
It also gives the chance to spend more time building up resources like grounding skills, self-regulation skills, and really get mindful and present before diving into the process.
Because its customized and personalized - if you are interested in learning other skills, actually practicing mindfulness and somatic exercises, or going somewhere else - we get the time to!
-
Intensives are best for people who are ready to focus on one or two stuck points - whether that’s a trauma memory, a relational pattern, or a specific area of growth.
You don’t need to be fully “healed” but you should be emotionally stable enough to safely engage in deeper work. This is not for stabalization and major crisis. We’ll explore this together during your free consultation.
-
Intensives are completely private pay and are not covered by insurance nor am I able to send you a superbill for partial reimbursement unfortunately. They start at $1500 and depending on time, days, and any add ons will increase in fee.
When you book an intensive, I’m holding a significant amount of time just for you - including reserving a private office space (for in-person), preparing personalized materials, and won’t see other clients that day.
Because of the time and energy that goes into planning and holding an intensive, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. This protects the space for both of us - and allows me to show up fully prepared to support your healing.
The remaining balance is due by the day of your intake session. Payment plans for full-day intensives may be available upon request. We will discuss all of this in our consultation.
-
That’s totally okay - many clients come to intensives while actively working with another therapist.
This work can compliment your ongoing therapy by helping you go deeper on a specific issue or clear a stuck point that’s been hard to move through.
With your permission, I’m happy to coordinate care or send a brief summary to your therapist to support your continued progress.
If you do not have one and you end up interested in continuing care post intensive I am happy to help with referrals or discuss working together if it fits.
-
Nope! EMDR is not for everyone. I just offer this modality for intensives because 50 minutes often ends up not enough time.
If you have other needs for an intensive - we can absolutely discuss! An example: if you are working on codependency, people pleasing, perfectionism, and anxiety we can spend time working on identifying where these patterns come from, ways to regulate your nervous system, do some self discovery work, somatic exercises, mindful self compassion practices, and role play boundary setting.
This is just an example, but we do not have to use EMDR for your work. Even if we are processing trauma, there are other ways we can work on it.
Intensives still offer that longer form - in depth work so we don’t have to stop right in the midst of some break throughs! It also gives us the time to really practice some of the things we are speaking about and for me to guide you in somatic resourcing.
-
Intensives can help with:
Processing a trauma or painful memory
Breaking out of people-pleasing, burnout, or perfectionism patterns
Healing after a breakup or relationship rupture
Addressing chronic self-doubt, emotional reactivity and dyregulation, or shutting down
Reconnecting to a sense of self-worth, clarity, or safety
Exploring the deeper “why” behind putting other people above yourself and being afraid of abandonment, rejection, or disappointing others
-
After our free consultation once you decided this is for you and booked a date - I will send you a personalized workbook to help you reflect, clarify your goals, and take clinical assessments so we have as much information to help us meet your goals as possible!
Then we’ll start with a 60-minute intake session to review your history, explore what you are wanting to work on in more depth, and I will give personal recommendations on anything else we can work on or go over in the intensive.
So - you do not have to know exactly what you need! We’ll figure this out together and I will give some guidance on what could be helpful.
-
Schedule a free 20–25 minute video or phone consultation. We’ll talk about what’s coming up for you, what you’re hoping to shift, and whether an intensive is the right fit.
If it is, we’ll schedule your intake session and get the process started.
-
Therapy intensives are a highly focused and personalized experience designed to help you heal deeper, faster.
Instead of spreading the work across 10+ weekly sessions, you get extended time, nervous system support, and tools tailored specifically to your goals.
This isn’t just a longer session - it’s a whole process:
You receive a 60-minute intake to clarify your history and goals
A 3- to 6-hour intensive session designed to move through stuck patterns with care and pacing
A 50-minute post-session integration
2 customized workbooks with education, journal prompts, grounding practices, and assessments to help you prepare before the intensive and integrate after the intensive
Behind the scenes, I spend several hours preparing your treatment plan, reviewing your materials, and tailoring your intensive to your needs
I am also reserving a big chunk of time where I do not see other clients that day whether online or if in person I am reserving an office space I sublease
You’re investing in a deeper, more accelerated form of therapy that offers clarity, breakthroughs, and relief - not just maintenance. And you deserve that level of care!
-
You’ll receive a 50-minute integration session to help process, reflect, and anchor the insights from your intensive.
You’ll also leave with a custom workbook full of tools, prompts, and nervous system practices to support continued growth. Some clients return to their regular therapy afterward, while others choose to book a second intensive or follow up with occasional sessions. We’ll talk through what feels most supportive for you!
-
The great news about intensives - is that we can personalize and customize as we go!
If after your intake and 3 hour (or whatever format you choose) session, you realize theres more you want to work on - we can discuss additional extended sessions.
For example, we may get through one “target” of EMDR (aka one specific issue or memory) and you want to work on a completely separate thing that emerged - we can schedule another 2-4 hour block on a different date. I will share the rates as we discuss this.
On the other end of this, if we schedule 6 hours and get through your EMDR work in 5 hours - we get the time to integrate, ground, and reflect. We can even spend some of the time winding down, practicing breathing, or mindfulness strategies.
