therapy that goes deeper - blending Relational, EMDR, Somatic, holistic, & Mindfulness practices
Holistic Therapist in NYC (Virtual Sessions Available in NY, DC, NJ, & MD)
You’ve tried everything you can think of to feel better, but nothing’s sticking.
Maybe you’ve been to therapy before, maybe you’ve journaled, read the self-help books, listened to podcasts, even learned about your patterns and why you behave the way you do. But something is still missing.
you’re still feeling…
Stuck in the same patterns, even though you know where they come from
Emotionally reactive or detached from your body, emotions, or sense of self
Like healing and change is just out of reach-no matter how hard you’re trying
Here’s how I do things differently as a holistic therapist.
I don’t believe in surface-level solutions or one-size-fits-all therapy. I am trauma-informed, holistic, somatic, and relational in my approach - designed to help you feel safe in your body, connected to your emotions, and empowered to create real change. We’ll blend traditional talk therapy, somatic practices, EMDR, mindfulness and mindful self compassion to support deep, nervous system based healing - not just symptoms management.
I don’t just listen and nod, I will also gently and compassionately challenge you, give you feedback, strategies, and an action plan toward change if that is what you are looking for. If you would like to make sure we are working on your thought patterns and core beliefs, we can also incorporate those traditional approaches into our sessions. We will customize together!

As a holistic therapist, I believe in looking at the full picture - mind, body, emotions, relationships, environment, and your nervous system - so we can move toward real, sustainable change, not just surface-level fixes. We will get to the root cause, rather than slapping a band-aid on the symptoms.
Though I am not a doctor, I will also check in on your movement, sleep, nutrition, and other factors that could be impacting your mental health. I am a big advocate for hormone health, gut health, and checking in on vitamins so I may recommend working with other providers as well.

Trauma, anxiety, depression, and burn out don’t just show up in your mind - they live in the body. As a. somatic therapist, I will help you connect your mind and body! We’ll play close attention to your physical cues: tension, numbness, energy levels, even breath patterns.
Together we’ll work on regulating your nervous system, helping you feel more grounded, less reactive, and more at home. I will teach you grounding skills, ways to regulate emotions, and mindfulness practices to use outside of sessions as well. Along with an understanding of the physiological ways your stress and trauma responses show up.

Mindfulness is the act of intentional present moment awareness and helps you slow down, tune in, and respond instead of react.
Self-compassion teaches you to treat yourself the way you would a friend (learn more here).
We’ll practice awareness, acceptance, self-kindness, and emotional curiosity to help build a gentler, more trusting relationship with yourself and present moment awareness.
This is IF you are open to these skills and practices, I always make sure it is something you want and Im happy to bring in other approaches if not!
If you are interested, I often guide mindfulness and grounding practices in our sessions if you need some guidance and practice or find yourself overwhelmed.

Insight is powerful- but it’s not enough on its own in my opinion. Our work will also focus on integrating what you are learning into real life and outside of sessions. Whether it’s setting boundaries, having hard conversations, or showing up differently in relationships, I’ll support you with a plan to take aligned, intentional steps toward the life you want to build. I will give you feedback, suggestions, and encouragements. This will be a two way conversation, not just a space where I nod and listen.

We can use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help your brain and body process stuck memories, beliefs, and patterns that are keeping you in survival mode. This isn’t about reliving trauma, its about safely working through it so it no longer hijacks your emotions, self-worth, or relationships. Clients often say EMDR helps them feel a deep, lasting shift they didn’t think was possible.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
You’re not stuck because you’re doing it wrong - youre stuck because you’ve been surviving without the right support. Healing is possible when we work with your whole self- mind, body, soul, and nervous system.

I blend all of my approaches (talk therapy, EMDR, somatic work, mindfulness and mindful self compassion, and relational) to tailor and fit your needs. This means we don’t only talk, but we work with how your emotions, memories, and patterns live in your body and shape your daily habits. Its about deep, lasting healing - not just managing your symptoms. I do have a background with DBT and CBT skills too if you would like to bring more traditional approaches in. I like to tailor to fit your needs and we can discuss this in our free consultation call.

Nope! You don’t need to come in knowing what will help - you just need to show up. We will talk briefly about you and your needs in our phone consultation call to see if its a good fit and then in the first session, we will dive deeper into your history, needs, and set some goals and intentions together. There, I can tailor our work to what you need, blending approaches based on your goals, pace and comfort level. As I get to know you and what you are looking for, I can share my recommendations.

Mix of both! I’ll offer structure, tools, and gentle direction, while also creating space for you to explore, feel, and reflect. We’ll co-create a space that feels both grounding and empowering. I often end sessions with discussing intentions for the upcoming week so you know what to bring with you from our work. If you are interested in “homework” or journal prompts, happy to give some ideas. But never required!

You don’t yet and that’s okay! Finding the right therapist is less about credentials (though those matter!) and more about feeling safe, seen, and like you can exhale a little in the room.
If you’re craving therapy that goes deeper than surface-level coping skills - we might be a good fit. I work best with adults who are introspective, emotionally intelligent, and ready to unpack old relational patterns that no longer serve them.
The reason I offer free 15 minute phone consultations is to figure out together if we are a good fit! In the call, we will talk about what is bringing you to therapy, how I may be able to help, next steps, and I will answer any questions you may have for me too. Usually you can get a good sense on these calls. And then if we discuss proceeding - the first session will give us more time to see how it feels!
You don’t have to have it all figured out - but if you’re looking for a therapist who blends trauma-informed depth with real, human connection, I’d love to support you!

A holistic therapist looks at you as a whole person - not just your symptoms or a diagnosis. That means we explore not only your thoughts and emotions, but also how your experiences live in your body, relationships, and nervous system. In our work together, we might integrate traditional talk therapy with somatic practices, mindfulness, EMDR, and self-compassion work to support deeper healing.
Holistic therapy recognizes that anxiety, people-pleasing, or burnout aren’t just random - they often stem from past experiences and protective patterns that once kept you safe. We’ll gently untangle those patterns so you can feel more grounded, connected, and aligned with your true self.
