Is traditional weekly therapy
just not cutting it anymore?

You’re insightful. You’ve done the work. You know the tools. Yet something still feels stuck in your body, your patterns, and your relationships.

You don’t have the time - or capacity - for slow weekly sessions

Life is full. You’re juggling work, relationships, and daily stress. Weekly therapy feels like it’s dragging, or like you’re starting over every time. Or - it’s not enough! You get right to the 50 min mark having to pause but you were just in the weeds of making progress.

You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing

You’re ready to move through what’s keeping you stuck - anxiety, past trauma, people-pleasing, old wounds and patterns - but traditional talk therapy isn’t reaching it or giving you enough time to get there.

You’re in the right place!

EMDR, trauma therapy, and nervous system healing intensives can help you accomplish in one session what may take months in traditional therapy.

What is an intensive?

A therapy intensive is a focused, extended session designed to help you move through stuck patterns and trauma more quickly than traditional weekly therapy. Instead of spreading work out over months, intensives offer the time and space to go deeper - with nervous system support every step of the way.

They’re perfect for when you're ready to process a specific issue, untangle a painful memory or belief, or reconnect with your sense of self - without the pressure of squeezing it into a 50-minute window.

Whether you're looking for clarity, closure, or a breakthrough, intensives offer an accelerated path toward lasting change.

1

Pre-Intensive Assessment

Before your intensive, we’ll meet for a 60-minute virtual intake session for us to build connection, to get to know your history, clarify your goals, and discuss what could be helpful in the intensive to cover. We’ll also identify specific targets or themes you’d like to work on so you feel grounded going in.
You’ll also received a customized designed workbook to help you prepare and reflect. It includes guidelines on what to expect, journal prompts to help you get clear, and clinical assessments so we have more understanding on what you need support with - all curated to help you arrive feeling clear, supported, and ready.

2

Intensive
Session

This is where the deeper work happens. In your 3-hour or full-day session, we’ll use EMDR therapy, somatic healing, mindfulness and grounding tools, and self compassion meditations to help you move through what’s keeping you stuck - with safety, intention, and nervous system support throughout.

I will help teach you to map your nervous system and stress/trauma responses, learn tools to self-regulate, and find grounding before we jump in to the EMDR or therapy process.

3

Post-Intensive Follow-Up

After the intensive, at least a week later we’ll meet for a 50-minute integration session. This is your space to process what came up, anchor new insights, and receive personalized tools, a plan, or next steps.

You’ll also receive a custom post-intensive workbook to support ongoing healing. It includes journal prompts to reflect, a values and needs inventory, grounding tools, mindful self compassion education, and other tools we reviewed so you can keep up your learning on the nervous system and stress/trauma responses.

Break free from patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you

Move beyond people-pleasing, anxiety, trauma cycles, and hypervigilance - and reconnect with your true self. Let go of inner critic narratives that aren’t actually true.

Heal the root, not just the symptoms

Process the unresolved trauma, stories you hold, and unmet needs beneath anxiety, relationship struggles, burnout, resentment, self-esteem, and perfectionism, and boundary issues - with real nervous system support.

Feel safe in your body and able to regulate emotions better

Learn to listen to your nervous system, release stories that don’t serve you, respond instead of react, and move through life with more ease, clarity, and self-trust.

Hi, I’m Alyssa - and I created these intensives for people who are ready to go deeper.

I’m a licensed therapist specializing in EMDR, somatic healing, and relational trauma. I work with women who are self-aware, high-achieving, and tired of feeling stuck in anxiety, burnout, or painful relationship patterns - even after years of talk therapy.

These intensives are for the moments when weekly sessions just aren’t enough - when something old keeps resurfacing, or you’re craving a real shift in how you feel, relate, and show up.

I bring a warm, grounded, and individualized approach to every intensive I offer. I love to teach the tools to help you ground and regulate your nervous system and I will guide you through somatic, mindfulness, breathing exercises and mindful self compassion exercises if you are open to it!

Whether we’re working together for a few hours or a full day, you’ll have the space, tools, and support to move through what’s been holding you back - with care, compassion, and pacing that honors your nervous system. Excited to connect with you!

Let’s connect and see if this is right for you!

Other intensive questions?

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence based trauma treatment that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories, emotions, moments, negative beliefs, and emotional patterns so they no longer feel as triggering, overwhelming, or impactful to you.

We use bilateral stimulation (which activates the right and left centers of the brain) - like eye movements, tapping, and/or sound - to help the brain “digest” stuck experiences and build new, adaptive beliefs.

It’s not about reliving trauma or old memories, but creating new pathways of safety, self-trust, and emotional regulation.

While originally developed for PTSD, EMDR is also highly effective for:

    • Anxiety and chronic stress

    • Attachment wounds and relationship issues

    • Low self-worth and inner criticism

    • People-pleasing and perfectionism

    • Burnout and emotional overwhelm

    • Life transitions or grief

    • Childhood experiences that still feel unresolved

    • Body image issues

You don’t need to have a single “big trauma” for EMDR to be helpful. It’s often the smaller, repeated moments of disconnection or invalidation that leave the deepest imprint - and EMDR helps you shift those patterns at the root.

  • Traditional therapy is often limited to 50-minute sessions, which can make it feel time limited and cut you off right when you’re in the midst of a breakthrough or big insight. Then you have to wait another week to do it again and the process continues.

Intensives offer a spacious, uninterrupted time to focus fully on healing. You’ll have the time and nervous system support to move through what’s keeping you stuck without feeling rushed or fragmented. And you get the chance to keep going when we’re in the midst of flow!

It also gives the chance to spend more time building up resources like grounding skills, self-regulation skills, and really get mindful and present before diving into the process.

Because its customized and personalized - if you are interested in learning other skills, actually practicing mindfulness and somatic exercises, or going somewhere else - we get the time to!

  • Intensives are best for people who are ready to focus on one or two stuck points - whether that’s a trauma memory, a relational pattern, or a specific area of growth.

You don’t need to be fully “healed” but you should be emotionally stable enough to safely engage in deeper work. This is not for stabalization. We’ll explore this together during your free consultation.

  • Intensives are completely private pay and are not covered by insurance nor am I able to send you a superbill for partial reimbursement unfortunately. They start at $1500 and depending on time, days, and any add ons will increase in fee.

When you book an intensive, I’m holding a significant amount of time just for you - including reserving a private office space (for in-person), preparing personalized materials, and won’t see other clients that day.

Because of the time and energy that goes into planning and holding an intensive, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. This protects the space for both of us - and allows me to show up fully prepared to support your healing.

The remaining balance is due by the day of your intake session. Payment plans for full-day intensives may be available upon request. We will discuss all of this in our consultation.

  • That’s totally okay - many clients come to intensives while actively working with another therapist.

This work can compliment your ongoing therapy by helping you go deeper on a specific issue or clear a stuck point that’s been hard to move through.

With your permission, I’m happy to coordinate care or send a brief summary to your therapist to support your continued progress.

If you do not have one and you end up interested in continuing care post intensive I am happy to help with referrals or discuss working together if it fits.

  • Intensives can help with:

    • Processing a trauma or painful memory

    • Breaking out of people-pleasing, burnout, or perfectionism patterns

    • Healing after a breakup or relationship rupture

    • Addressing chronic self-doubt, emotional reactivity and dyregulation, or shutting down

    • Reconnecting to a sense of self-worth, clarity, or safety

    • Exploring the deeper “why” behind putting other people above yourself and being afraid of abandonment, rejection, or disappointing others

  • After our free consultation once you decided this is for you and booked a date - I will send you a personalized workbook to help you reflect, clarify your goals, and take clinical assessments so we have as much information to help us meet your goals as possible!

Then we’ll start with a 60-minute intake session to review your history, explore what you are wanting to work on in more depth, and I will give personal recommendations on anything else we can work on or go over in the intensive.

So - you do not have to know exactly what you need! We’ll figure this out together and I will give some guidance on what could be helpful.

  • Schedule a free 20–25 minute video or phone consultation. We’ll talk about what’s coming up for you, what you’re hoping to shift, and whether an intensive is the right fit.

If it is, we’ll schedule your intake session and get the process started.

  • Therapy intensives are a highly focused and personalized experience designed to help you heal deeper, faster.

Instead of spreading the work across 10+ weekly sessions, you get extended time, nervous system support, and tools tailored specifically to your goals.

    This isn’t just a longer session - it’s a whole process:

    • You receive a 60-minute intake to clarify your history and goals

    • A 3- to 6-hour intensive session designed to move through stuck patterns with care and pacing

    • A 50-minute post-session integration

    • 2 customized workbooks with education, journal prompts, grounding practices, and assessments to help you prepare before the intensive and integrate after the intensive

    • Behind the scenes, I spend several hours preparing your treatment plan, reviewing your materials, and tailoring your intensive to your needs

    • I am also reserving a big chunk of time where I do not see other clients that day whether online or if in person I am reserving an office space I sublease

You’re investing in a deeper, more accelerated form of therapy that offers clarity, breakthroughs, and relief - not just maintenance. And you deserve that level of care!

  • You’ll receive a 50-minute integration session to help process, reflect, and anchor the insights from your intensive.

You’ll also leave with a custom workbook full of tools, prompts, and nervous system practices to support continued growth. Some clients return to their regular therapy afterward, while others choose to book a second intensive or follow up with occasional sessions. We’ll talk through what feels most supportive for you!
