The Private Practice Consultation Group for Therapists Who Give Too Much

2x a Month Virtual Consultation Group For Female Therapists In Private Practice .

Bi-Monthly Support

For the Anxious, Over-Thinking, Over-Giving Female Therapist In Or
Starting Private Practice

Community, consultation, and care for the therapist’s nervous system.

You became a therapist because you care deeply.

You're empathetic, attuned, and gifted at holding space for others. You teach boundaries. You understand nervous system regulation. You know the theory inside and out.

And yet - you're the one sending the email at 11pm. You're the one who said yes to a client you didn't have capacity for. You're the one who hasn't raised your rates, updated your website, or sent that newsletter that's been sitting in your drafts for three weeks.

You over think what you say on your consultation calls, you want genuine connections with other therapists but feel anxious networking, and you’re overwhelmed by having to “market” yourself.

You're exhausted and overwhelmed from over-thinking, over-giving, and chronic self doubt - and not quite sure how to let yourself receive, grow, and thrive. Starting a private practice amplifies all of this, so you’re not alone.

If this resonates, we’d love to welcome you in.

What This Group Actually Is:

As therapists and business owners, we’re constantly juggling - being there for our clients, running our businesses, pursuing trainings and supervision, and striving to grow both personally and professionally - all while trying to show up as partners, friends, and parents. How can one person manage all that?

Especially if you tend to be an anxious, overachieving perfectionist or a recovering people pleaser, you might find yourself saying yes to everything and everyone.
You want to do more, give more, and be more. You teach boundaries and self-compassion, but in practice, it’s easier said than done personally (trust me, I get it).

This pattern of over-functioning, taking on so much responsibility for everyone else’s stuff, and over-giving isn’t sustainable. It often leads to exhaustion, burnout, and even resentment. It’s hard when we want to model healthy boundaries and “practice what we preach” but struggle to act on it.

Truth is, being both a therapist and business owner can bring up our own wounds and self-critical beliefs. We hold ourselves to impossibly high standards, feel responsible for everyone, and tie our worth to how much we give.

And yet - that’s also what makes us great therapists! We care deeply. We give wholeheartedly. We’re attuned, intuitive, and thoughtful (even when anxiety gets in the way). These qualities are our superpower and sometimes, what get us in trouble.

This isn't just a group where we talk about our feelings and go home. It's a rolling-up-your-sleeves consultation and coaching space where you get real support, real strategy, and real accountability - with a community of therapists who actually get it.

Every session is a mix of whatever you need most: case consultation, private practice strategy, aligned marketing support, working through the anxiety and perfectionism that gets in the way of your authenticity and the occasional mindfulness & somatic practice to bring your nervous system back online when it all feels like too much.

Some sessions we talk through the hard stuff. Some sessions everyone leaves having written the email they've been avoiding for a month. All sessions, you leave feeling less alone.

This Group Is For You If:

  • You're a mental health provider in or building a private practice

  • You identify as anxious, perfectionistic, over-giving, or a recovering people-pleaser

  • You give endlessly to your clients but struggle to prioritize yourself or your business

  • You want someone to finally just ask how are YOU doing?

Hi, I’m Alyssa - a therapist, group facilitator, and someone who knows what it’s like to feel stuck in overthinking, self-doubt, and people pleasing.

I created this group because I've lived this - the impossible juggle of being a therapist, business owner, partner, friend, daughter. Especially for those of us who over-extend and over-give, knowing the theory isn't the same as being able to apply it to ourselves.

I specialize in relational trauma, codependency, people-pleasing, perfectionism, hypervigilance, self-trust, and anxiety. And I bring all of that into the room with me - not just as a clinician, but as someone who has done and continues to do her own work.

My style is warm, direct, and real. I'll hold space AND push you forward - because you don't need more people to just nod at you, you need someone who will actually help you move.

I’ve been creating and running groups for over 8 years - both skills groups and process groups! While I love individual therapy, as you well know nothing beats healing in connection and community with a group of like minded women on the same journey of self trust. To feel less alone, less ashamed, and genuinely supported by your peers - not just as a therapist, but as a human.

That's what this space is for. We’d love to have you join us!

In this Consultation group, we will…

Get honest about what's actually getting in the way

We'll explore the patterns that show up for us as therapists and business owners - the over-functioning, the over-giving, the perfectionism that keeps you stuck. Not just to understand them, but to actually do something about them. Because insight without action only gets you so far.

Do the work - together

This is a roll-up-your-sleeves kind of group. We consult on cases, troubleshoot private practice challenges, work through marketing and visibility anxiety, and hold each other accountable. Some sessions we process and feel together. Some we strategize. Some sessions someone finally sends the email they've been avoiding for a month. All sessions, you leave having actually moved something forward.

Build the practice - and the life - that doesn't burn you out

We'll look at the systems, boundaries, pricing, and decisions that create a sustainable practice. And we'll weave in nervous system regulation and self-compassion throughout - because you can't build something that lasts if you're running on empty.

This group will help with…

  • Managing anxiety and the pressure to “have it all together”

  • Recognizing how people-pleasing, over-functioning, and perfectionism are impacting your practice and actually shifting them

  • Setting and holding boundaries with clients, in your pricing, and in your business - without the guilt spiral

  • Breaking the cycle of chronic burnout and building a practice that doesn't require you to run on empty

  • Building self-trust, confidence, and clarity in your clinical and business decisions

  • Feeling less alone and more connected to a community of like-minded therapists

  • Cultivating nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and self-compassion practices that support both you and your clients

  • Getting unstuck on the business tasks you keep avoiding -marketing, emails, rates, visibility

FAQs

  • Two Thursdays from 10 - 11:15 am est via zoom per month.

You are welcome to schedule a free 20 minute phone consultation here!

  • When you are joining this group, you are committing to two 75 min sessions a month, $125 each - total $250 on an ongoing basis. You can leave at any point, just giving the next months notice!

Meaning, there is no cancellation fee. If you miss a session, it is still expected to pay for the fee.

No supervision hours, but you can count as a business tax deductible.

  • Every session is a little different depending on what the group needs - and that's intentional. This isn't a rigid curriculum where we follow a script. It's a living, responsive space.

Most sessions open with a brief check-in so everyone can share where they're at. From there we might dive into case consultation, work through a private practice or business challenge someone is navigating, or tackle something in real time together - like drafting the email you've been avoiding, workshopping your rates, or figuring out how to say no to a client who keeps pushing boundaries.

We weave in nervous system regulation and mindfulness practices throughout - not as filler, but because you genuinely cannot do your best thinking or your best building when your system is dysregulated.

Some sessions feel like coaching. Some feel like consultation. Some feel like finally being in a room with people who actually get it. Most feel like all three.

What stays consistent every time: you'll be heard, you'll be challenged in a good way, and you'll leave having moved something forward - even if it's just feeling less alone in it.

  • This group is designed for mental health professionals - therapists, social workers, counselors, and psychologists - who are in private practice or actively building toward it.

Beyond the credentials, the real answer is this: you're a good fit if you recognize yourself in any of the following:

You're the therapist who gives everything to your clients and then wonders why you have nothing left for yourself.

You know how to hold space for everyone else but struggle to ask for what you need.

You teach boundaries in session and then go home and say yes to something you absolutely should have said no to.

You're high-functioning on the outside and quietly exhausted on the inside.

You overthink your clinical decisions, your emails, your rates, your Instagram captions, and probably this FAQ.

You want to grow your practice but visibility makes you anxious and putting yourself out there feels terrifying.

You want community with people who actually get the specific strange juggle of being a therapist and a human being - not just colleagues who nod politely, but real peers who will tell you the truth.

You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to be ready to show up honestly, do some real work, and finally give yourself some of the space you give everyone else!
