Is traditional weekly therapy
just not cutting it anymore?
You’re insightful. You’ve done the work. You know the tools. But something still feels stuck in your body, your patterns, and your relationships.
You don’t have the time - or capacity - for slow weekly sessions
Weekly therapy can feel like you’re just getting to the heart of it when time is up. You’re juggling work, relationships, and life - you want focused time to actually move the needle. Or you’ve done it already and you want something that will create more change.
You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing
You’re ready to move through what’s keeping you stuck - anxiety, people-pleasing, trauma cycles, old stories about yourself - in a way that actually lands in your nervous system, not just your mind.
Choose the intensive track that fits you:
The Self-Trust Immersion
For high-functioning women who are tired of overthinking, spiraling after boundaries, and exhausted doubting themselves.
This track is for you if you look put-together on the outside but feel constantly overwhelmed and exhausted inside. You replay conversations, second-guess your decisions, and struggle to honor your needs in relationships, dating, or work. The Self-Trust immersion is a nervous system-based intensive that helps you move out of survival mode, stop self-abandoning, and finally feel like you can let go of all that you carry for everyone else and refocus back on you.
EMDR & Trauma Processing
For when you’re ready to process specific trauma, painful memories, or long-standing patterns at the root.
This track is for you if you’re carrying unresolved trauma, distressing memories, negative held beliefs/stories or patterns you can trace back to specific experiences. Using EMDR, somatic work, IFS and trauma-informed support, we’ll focus on safely processing what’s been stuck for years so your body and mind can finally come out of chronic fight, flight, freeze, or fawn.
What is the self trust immersion?
This isn’t just a longer therapy session.
It’s a nervous system-based, trauma-informed reset for the part of you that knows all the patterns - but still overthinks obsessively, struggles to speak up, set boundaries, and feel calm in your body.
The Self-Trust Immersion is a focused, deep-dive healing experience designed for high-achieving, emotionally aware women who feel stuck in patterns of self-abandonment, anxiety, people-pleasing (or fawning), hypervigilance, exhuasting perfectionism, and/or high functioning codependent patterns - even after years of therapy or self-work.
You’re likely the one who always holds it all together - the responsible one, the “mature one,” the fixer. You can sense when something’s off in the room before anyone says a word. You’ve spent so long tending to others that you’ve lost touch with your own needs, your own voice, and what it feels like to truly rest. You may feel chronic guilt, shame, and secret resentment.
This intensive is for the moments when:
You’ve journaled it. Analyzed it. Talked it through. And you still can’t shift it.
You know your patterns - but your body doesn’t feel safe enough to change them.
You try to set boundaries - and spiral into guilt or panic after.
You don’t fully trust yourself - your intuition, your needs, your voice.
Fears of abandonment or disappointing others quietly run the show.
No matter how much insight you gain, your nervous system is still stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn.
In this work, we slow down - and go deeper.
We bring your body into the healing process so insight becomes integration.
So you’re not just understanding your patterns - you’re living differently.
You don’t have to keep holding it all together!
You get to feel grounded, clear, and like yourself again.
IS this you?
This work is for you if:
You look like you have it all together - but feel constantly overwhelmed inside
You spiral after setting a boundary, replaying the conversation in your head for hours
You second-guess your feelings, your needs, and your worth
You over-function and over-give in every relationship and rarely ask for help
You feel guilty when you rest, and anxious when you say no
You feel numb, shut down, or “not fully here” when you're overwhelmed
You don’t trust that calm or stillness is safe - or that you’re allowed to have it
You don’t even know what your needs are because you’ve had to be so attuned to others
You’re constantly scanning for others’ needs, moods, or reactions - waiting for the other shoe to drop - and rarely feel fully relaxed and safe
You fear abandonment, rejection, and disappointing people and this ends up creating patterns in your relationships
You believe you’re too much AND not enough at the same time
You’ve internalized shame and hold beliefs like “something is wrong with me,” “’i’m inadequate,” or feelings of unworthiness.
You feel anxious and preoccupied in dating or relationships and can’t tell if someone is actually right for you or just familiar
You override your gut feelings to keep the peace, then feel resentful or confused after
You’ve done the therapy, read the books, listened to the podcasts…and you’re still stuck repeating these patterns
You know what the patterns are. You just don’t know how to stop living in them
This isn’t because you’re broken by the way - it’s because your nervous system learned to survive and protect you this way. And now…it’s time to shift, heal, and finally focus on YOU!
What This Work Actually Changes
Nervous System Regulation
Learn to recognize when you’re in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn - and actually move through it. Instead of living braced, reactive, or shut down, you’ll begin to feel steady, grounded, and safe in your own body.
Inner Critic & Shame Healing
Shift the deep beliefs that tell you “I’m too much” or “I’m not enough.” Learn to meet yourself with compassion instead of self-attack - so your nervous system no longer runs on shame.
Rebuilding Self-Trust
Reconnect with your inner voice so you stop second-guessing yourself. Feel clearer about your needs, more confident in your decisions, and less pulled by guilt or external validation.
Healing Hypervigilance
Stop constantly scanning for what others need or how they feel. Learn to slow down, soften, and feel safe inside your own body - not just in other people’s reactions.
Boundaries Without the Backlash
Set boundaries without spiraling into guilt, fear, or shutdown. Learn to hold your ground while staying regulated and connected.
Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Skills
Develop real-time tools to ground yourself when you’re triggered. Respond instead of react. Tend to your needs without judgment - and build a more gentle, steady relationship with yourself.
What is the Trauma & EMDR Healing Intensive?
This intensive is for the woman who’s been carrying old wounds from relational trauma, dysfunctional family/relationship dynamics, or nervous system survival patterns for years - and is finally ready to actually feel different in her body, not just understand the story in her mind.
This work is especially powerful if you:
have done talk therapy
can name your patterns and relational dynamics
know where some of it comes from
…and yet still feel stuck in anxiety, shutdown, hypervigilance, or survival mode
Instead of spending months circling the same insights, we go deeper - using EMDR, somatic work, parts work, and nervous system regulation to help your system finally reprocess what it’s been holding.
You might even know exactly what trauma you’ve experienced and how it impacts you, but you need to do something different to work through it.
You’ll likely benefit from this work if:
You feel hyperaware of other people’s moods, reactions, or safety cues.
Your body feels “on alert” even when nothing is wrong
You can talk about your trauma but don’t feel relief from it
You get easily triggered or reactive and don’t always know why
You feel anxious, dissociated, or shut down under stress
You can’t fully relax into rest, love, or connection
You logically know things are “over” but your body doesn’t
You grew up with emotionally immature parenting, were parentified, had a family member or partner with narcissism or mental health/substance use challenges, experienced emotional abuse, or experienced chronic neglect, invalidation, or gaslighting
You’re tired of 50-minute sessions ending right when you’re finally getting somewhere.
What Shifts in Trauma Healing:
Trauma Processing & Memory Integration
Work with distressing memories without reliving them. EMDR helps your brain and body reprocess what’s been stuck - so memories lose their charge and stop triggering anxiety, shutdown, or survival responses.
Shift Long Standing Patterns
Address the root of people-pleasing, hyper-independence, functional freeze, chronic anxiety, or attachment wounds - not just the symptoms, but the survival patterns underneath them.
Nervous System Regulation
Learn to safely move out of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn - so your body doesn’t stay on high alert long after the threat is gone. Instead of bracing for impact, you begin to feel steady and grounded.
Rebuild Internal Safety
Trauma healing isn’t just about memories - it’s about helping your system feel calm, stable, and connected again. Safe in your body. Safe in relationships. Safe with yourself.
Reduce Triggers & Reactivity
Instead of avoiding, numbing, or powering through, you’ll build internal safety. Everyday stressors won’t hijack your nervous system - and you’ll respond with more clarity and choice.
Integrate Meaning & Identity
Process the stories you’ve carried about yourself - “I’m not safe,” “I’m too much,” “I’m a burden,” “People will disappoint me” - so they stop shaping how you show up in your relationships and your life.
Here’s What Changes When We Go Deep:
Break free from survival patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you
Move beyond people-pleasing, hyper-responsibility, anxiety cycles, and hypervigilance - and reconnect with your true self. Release shame-driven stories and inner critic narratives that have quietly shaped how you show up in relationships and in your own life.
Heal the root - not just manage the symptoms
Process the unresolved trauma, attachment wounds, and unmet emotional needs beneath anxiety, burnout, resentment, perfectionism, and relationship struggles - with real nervous system support, not just insight.
Feel safe in your body - and steady in your emotions
Learn to listen to your nervous system instead of overriding it. Respond instead of react. Move through life with more clarity, calm, and grounded self-trust.
Hi, I’m Alyssa - and I created these intensives for the woman who is done circling her patterns - and ready to actually shift them.
I’m a licensed therapist specializing in EMDR, somatic healing, IFS, and relational trauma. I work with self-aware, high-achieving women who look put together on the outside - but feel exhausted and stuck in anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, attachment wounds, or shame-driven inner critic patterns underneath it all.
These intensives exist for the moments when 50-minute sessions aren’t enough - when something deeper is surfacing, or you’re craving a real shift in how you feel, relate, and move through your life. Many of my clients knew their patterns well… but were still living inside them. That’s why I began creating this format.
I bring a warm, grounded, and individualized approach to every intensive. I’ll teach you tools to regulate your nervous system and guide you through somatic and mindfulness-based work - but I’m also direct, attuned, and honest. This isn’t passive therapy. It’s collaborative, embodied, and focused on real integration. When we work together in this format, you have the time, space, and depth to move through what’s been holding you back - with care, compassion, and pacing that honors your nervous system.
Here is how intensives work:
What is included, structure, cost, and frequently asked questions
1
Pre-Intensive Assessment
Before we go deep, we slow down.
We’ll meet for a 75-90 minute virtual intake to clarify your goals, map your patterns, and identify where to focus so your intensive feels intentional - not overwhelming.
Together, we’ll identify the themes, memories, or relational dynamics you want to shift so you arrive feeling grounded and prepared.
You’ll also receive a customized workbook with reflection prompts and clinical assessments designed to help you clarify what you need support with - so we’re not starting from scratch.
2
Intensive
Sessions
This is where the real shift happens.
In our 3 - 5 hour sessions, we may use EMDR, somatic work, parts work, mindfulness, self-compassion practices, and nervous system tools - all tailored to your goals and paced with care.
Before we go into deeper trauma processing, I’ll make sure you understand your nervous system patterns and feel equipped with tools to stay regulated and supported throughout.
If we’re working on people-pleasing, self-trust, attachment wounds, or codependency, we’ll also explore the emotions, needs, and protective patterns that have shaped how you show up - so you can reconnect with the authentic you beneath them.
3
Post-Intensive Follow-Up
After the intensive, we’ll meet for a 50-minute integration session to process what surfaced, anchor insights, and map your next steps.
You’ll receive a personalized post-intensive workbook with grounding tools, nervous system education, reflection prompts, and integration practices so you can continue the work with clarity and support.
Depending on your goals, we may discuss additional intensives, longer sessions, or ongoing therapy to deepen and sustain the shift.
Three to five hours is rarely enough to fully resolve long-standing trauma patterns - but it can often to begin meaningful movement.
For many clients, this first intensive opens the door to deeper processing. Depending on your goals and history, we may recommend additional intensives (often 10–20 total hours) to fully integrate and stabilize the work.

Frequently Asked Questions:
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence based trauma treatment that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories, emotions, moments, negative beliefs, and emotional patterns so they no longer feel as triggering, overwhelming, or impactful to you.
We use bilateral stimulation (which activates the right and left centers of the brain) - like eye movements, tapping, and/or sound - to help the brain “digest” stuck experiences and build new, adaptive beliefs.
It’s not about reliving trauma or old memories, but creating new pathways of safety, self-trust, and emotional regulation.
While originally developed for PTSD, EMDR is also highly effective for:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Attachment wounds and relationship issues
Low self-worth and inner criticism
People-pleasing and perfectionism
Burnout and emotional overwhelm
Life transitions or grief
Childhood experiences that still feel unresolved
Body image issues
You don’t need to have a single “big trauma” for EMDR to be helpful. It’s often the smaller, repeated moments of disconnection or invalidation that leave the deepest imprint - and EMDR helps you shift those patterns at the root.
-
Traditional therapy typically takes place in 50-minute sessions. While that format works well for many people, it can sometimes feel limiting - especially when you’re just beginning to access something important. You might hit a breakthrough or emotional opening… and then time is up. The process pauses, and you wait another week to re-enter it.
Intensives are different.
Instead of working in small increments, we create a spacious, uninterrupted container where your healing becomes the sole focus. There is time to go deeper - without feeling rushed, cut off, or fragmented.
With longer sessions, your nervous system has the opportunity to fully settle, process, and integrate. We’re not squeezing meaningful work into a tight window. We can move at the pace your body and mind actually need.
Intensives also allow us to intentionally build resources before diving into deeper processing. That might include:
Grounding and stabilization skills
Nervous system regulation work
Mindfulness and somatic practices
EMDR preparation or reprocessing
Time for reflection and integration
Because intensives are personalized and customized, we have flexibility. If you want more time practicing skills, exploring specific relational patterns, or deepening into a particular memory or theme - we can. We’re not confined by the clock.
For many clients, this format creates meaningful momentum that can take months to reach in traditional weekly therapy.
-
Intensives are best suited for individuals who are ready to focus deeply on one or two meaningful areas - whether that’s a specific trauma memory, a recurring relational pattern, or the chronic over-giving, hyper-responsibility, and self-abandonment that’s left you exhausted and resentful.
You don’t need to be “fully healed.”
You don’t need to have everything figured out.But you do need to feel emotionally stable enough to engage in deeper, sustained work.
Intensives are not designed for active crisis stabilization or situations where safety is uncertain. They are most effective when you have a baseline ability to regulate and a desire to move beyond insight into embodied change.
You might be a strong fit if:
You’re the strong one - but underneath, you feel depleted
You over-function in relationships and struggle to receive support
You intellectually understand your patterns, but your nervous system still defaults to bracing, fixing, or fawning
You feel stuck in resentment, self-doubt, or chronic guilt
You want to rebuild self-trust - not just understand why you lost it
You’re ready for focused momentum rather than incremental weekly progress
Whether we’re targeting trauma reprocessing through EMDR or interrupting the over-giver cycle and rebuilding self-trust at a nervous system level, intensives create the space to go deeper - and integrate what shifts.
We’ll determine together during your consultation whether this format feels aligned and supportive for you.
-
Intensive therapy is offered on a private pay basis and is not covered by insurance or eligible for out of network reimbursement.

When you book an intensive, I reserve a significant amount of dedicated time exclusively for you. This includes:
Holding extended session hours
Reserving private office space for in-person intensives
Preparing personalized materials and treatment planning
Clearing my schedule so I can show up with full presence and capacity
Because of the time, preparation, and energy required to thoughtfully plan and hold an intensive, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your dates. This protects the time we are setting aside and allows me to prepare fully for your work.
The remaining balance is due by the day of your intake session.
Payment plans may be available for multi-day intensives upon request. All details will be reviewed together during your consultation to ensure the structure feels clear and supportive.
-
That’s absolutely okay. Many clients participate in intensives while actively working with another therapist!
Intensive therapy can complement your ongoing weekly work by allowing you to focus deeply on a specific stuck point - whether that’s trauma processing, a relational pattern, or a persistent over-giving cycle that hasn’t fully shifted.
Rather than replacing your current therapy, an intensive often creates focused momentum that you can continue integrating with your primary therapist afterward.
With your written permission, I’m happy to coordinate care or provide a brief summary to your therapist to support continuity and integration.
If you do not currently have a therapist and would like ongoing support after your intensive, I’m happy to provide referrals - or we can discuss whether continuing to work together feels clinically appropriate.
-
No. EMDR, IFS, and somatic work is are the integrative modalities I offer, but it is not required!
I often use EMDR in intensives because the extended format allows enough time for proper preparation, processing, and integration - something that can feel limited in a traditional 50-minute session. However, EMDR is not the right fit for everyone, and we will always choose the approach that feels most supportive for you.
If your focus is something like codependency, people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, or rebuilding self-trust, we may instead spend time:
Identifying the roots of these patterns
Understanding how your nervous system learned to over-function or fawn
Practicing regulation and somatic resourcing
Engaging in mindful self-compassion work
Exploring attachment dynamics
Role-playing boundary-setting and relational repair
Even when we are addressing trauma, EMDR is not the only path. There are many effective, trauma-informed approaches we can use.
What makes intensives powerful is not just the modality - it’s the depth and continuity. The longer format allows us to stay with breakthroughs instead of stopping mid-process.
It gives us time to practice new skills in real time and to build nervous system capacity, rather than just talking about it conceptually.
Your intensive will be tailored to your goals, history, and readiness. We will decide together what approach feels most aligned.
-
No!
You don’t have to figure that out on your own.
During your consultation and pre-intensive intake session, we’ll talk through what you’re hoping for, what’s been keeping you stuck, and what feels most urgent. From there, we’ll decide together whether what track or a blended approach makes the most sense.
Often, it is a blend of both!
For many high-functioning women, the over-giving, people-pleasing, and self-abandonment patterns are deeply connected to earlier relational wounds. Addressing both the root trauma and rebuilding self-trust can happen within the same intensive.
You won’t have to choose alone - we’ll map it out together.
Therapy Intensives Can Support You With:
Processing a trauma or painful memory
Breaking out of people-pleasing, codependent, or perfectionism cycles
Healing after a breakup or relationship rupture
Addressing chronic self-doubt, emotional reactivity, dysregulation, or shutdown
Rebuilding self-trust and reconnecting to your sense of worth
Exploring the deeper “why” behind over-functioning, fear of abandonment, rejection, or disappointing others
Getting to the root of anxiety, burnout, or chronic freeze
Whether we focus primarily on trauma reprocessing, pattern interruption, or a combination of both, the goal is the same: helping you feel more regulated, clear, and anchored in yourself.
-
After our free consultation, once you decide to move forward and reserve your dates, I’ll send you a personalized pre-intensive workbook.
This workbook is designed to help you:
Reflect on your history and current patterns
Clarify your goals and intentions
Identify specific memories or stuck points
Complete relevant clinical assessments
The goal is to gather as much meaningful information as possible so we can use our time together intentionally and effectively.
We’ll then meet for a 90 minute intake session prior to your intensive.
During this session, we’ll review your history, explore what you most want to focus on, assess what phase of EMDR to hone in on and refine your treatment plan.
I’ll also offer clinical recommendations if there are additional themes, patterns, or areas that may be helpful to address during your intensive.
You do not need to arrive with everything perfectly articulated. Many clients know they feel stuck - but aren’t entirely sure why. That’s okay.
Part of the preparation process is helping you gain clarity so we can create a focused, personalized plan for your time together.
-
Schedule a free 30 minute video or phone consultation. We’ll talk about what’s coming up for you, what you’re hoping to shift, and whether an intensive is the right fit.
If it is, we’ll schedule your intake session and get the process started :)
-
Therapy intensives are a highly focused, personalized therapeutic experience designed to create meaningful depth and momentum in a condensed period of time.
Rather than spreading the work across 10+ weekly sessions, intensives provide extended, uninterrupted time for processing, nervous system regulation, and integration - all tailored specifically to your goals.
This isn’t simply a longer session. It’s a structured, multi-step clinical process.
Your investment includes:
A 90 minute intake session to clarify your history, readiness, and goals
4-20 + hours designed to move through stuck patterns with intention and pacing
A 50-minute post-intensive integration session
Two customized workbooks with psychoeducation, journal prompts, grounding practices, and assessments to support preparation and integration
Individualized treatment planning and clinical preparation behind the scenes
In addition, I reserve a significant block of time exclusively for you. On intensive days, I do not see other clients.
For in-person intensives, I also reserve a private office space to ensure a contained, supportive environment.
This allows me to show up fully present, regulated, and focused - which is essential for deeper trauma work and nervous system healing.
You are investing in depth, acceleration, and personalized care - not just maintenance. For many clients, this format creates clarity and shifts that would otherwise take months to access in weekly therapy.
-
You’ll receive a 50-minute integration session to help process, reflect, and anchor the insights from your intensive.
You’ll also leave with a custom workbook full of tools, prompts, and nervous system practices to support continued growth.
Some clients return to their regular therapy afterward, while others choose to book a second intensive a few weeks later. We’ll talk through what feels most supportive for you!
-
That’s completely normal!
Intensives are structured, but they are also flexible. Healing doesn’t always unfold in a perfectly contained box - and we plan for that.
After your intake and first intensive, we’ll assess together what feels complete and what may need more space. Sometimes we fully process one “target” (for example, a specific trauma memory or relational pattern), and another layer naturally emerges. That’s a normal part of deeper work.
If you’d like to continue, we can schedule:
An additional 90-minute session
A 2–4 hour extended session
Another 1-3 days worth
Or transition into weekly 60- or 90-minute therapy sessions if mutual availability and good fit
We’ll decide collaboratively based on your goals, nervous system capacity, and what feels clinically appropriate.
There is no pressure to commit to more time upfront - but there is space available if your healing process calls for it.
All additional session rates are discussed transparently before scheduling.
