Clinical & Business Consultation

For relational therapists and mental health providers looking to grow whether clinically, in their business, and as a human showing up for others!

I offer 1:1 supervision & consultation sessions to support therapists with:

Clinical consultation
Business support
Embodied confidence
✨ Authentic marketing & sustainability

*Please note that while I do supervise, this is for consultation purposes - which means it’s an additional support and not for getting clinical hours

For therapists who want support -

clinically, energetically, and in growing their business.

If you’re a therapist (or other mental health provider) who’s deeply empathic, relational, and client-centered - but you’re also exhausted, over-giving, second-guessing your skill, or unsure how to build a business that actually feels authentic yet sustainable - you’re not alone!
And you don’t have to figure it all out on your own! Supervision, consultation, and support from fellow therapists has been a game changer for me in helping me grow. It’s so deeply important to have your own support system (as you know) and I’d be honored to support you!

I offer 1:1 consultation sessions to support therapists with:

Clinical consultation: To support your clients with complex trauma, codependency, people pleasing, anxiety and depression, self-harm, self esteem, somatic and EMDR integration, nervous system healing, and working with parents and families. To discuss cases, countertransference, and vicarious trauma or compassion fatigue on your nervous system.
Business growth: Niching and marketing authentically and relationally, burnout prevention and creating sustainability, creating/running/and marketing support groups, making the leap to private practice and getting started, identifying other ways to use your skill outside of just individual therapy, and growing without hustle.
Business support: Boundaries with clients, people pleasing in your business, how to manage your energy and prioritize what you need to, honoring your fees and policies, systems to set up sustainability, mindset work, identifying blocks, and accountability toward your goals and intentions
Embodied confidence: Feeling grounded in your style, learning to hold your power in the room, developing true self-compassion, and creating a practice that feels aligned with who you are, not who you think you should be

Learn more about me

Hi, I’m Alyssa - and I LOVE supporting therapists!

I’m a licensed therapist, supervisor, and the founder of AK Psychotherapy - a trauma-informed, somatic, and holistic therapy practice based in NYC, DC, MD, and NJ.

I specialize in working with adults navigating relational trauma and complex cptsd, anxiety, people-pleasing, and nervous system dysregulation. However, I have a background in working at multiple PHP/IOP’s and group private practice - working with a ray of needs
(cptsd, bpd, ocd, autism spectrum, working with parents, adhd, self-harm, etc). I’m trained in EMDR, mindfulness approaches, somatic therapies, dbt skills, and often pull from ACT and parts work as well.

In addition to seeing individual clients, I supervise other therapists, create and run multiple support groups, and offer EMDR intensives to clients ready for deeper healing!

With all of this background, I understand the very real pressure of trying to do it all while staying regulated, attuned, and connected to yourself. Whether you're navigating your first client in private practice, trying to scale, or struggling with your own boundary challenges in your business - our work together can help you come back to your center.

For me, getting the support from other therapists over the years has been a game changer. Not only in helping me grow, but helping me feel deeply connect and seen. This work can sometimes feel lonely and it’s important that we curate our own support systems!

If you are needing a little support with the clinical work with your clients, if you are thinking about starting private practice, or wanting help to grow and market authentically yet sustainably - I’d be honored to support!! It’s a great way to help you grow and hold you accountable to the changes you know you need to make.

Let’s get started.

At the end of the day, I want you to know:

You’re not behind. You’re not failing at this.

You’ve been holding a lot - for your clients, your business, your family - and trying to do it all while second-guessing if you're doing enough.

If you’re feeling stuck, it’s not because you’re doing it wrong. It’s because you’ve likely been taking on too much, over-extending, or your nervous system is on overdrive and shutting down without the kind of support you actually need!

You deserve spaces that hold you the way you hold everyone else - with depth, clarity, compassion, and loving accountability.

Healing, alignment, and confidence are possible - especially when you stop trying to white-knuckle your way through it alone.

Questions?

FAQs

  • Clinical supervision is typically required for licensure and involves oversight of your clinical work to ensure competency and ethical practice. In NY, you have to be employed by your supervisor. So, this wont count toward your hours, but I’m happy to be an additional support.

Consultation is also more flexible - it’s about ongoing professional growth, deepening clinical skill, and gaining perspective on complex cases, countertransference, or burnout all while also being able to discuss business, marketing, personal life and how to balance it all. Its not just focused on the clinical!

  • Not necessarily! While most of my consultation clients are therapists or healing professionals, I also work with coaches, space holders, and wellness practitioners who want support around boundaries, people-pleasing in business, or sustainable growth rooted in regulation and authenticity.

  • At this time, my sessions are for consultation and professional development purposes - not formal supervision hours toward licensure. However, the work often mirrors the depth and reflection found in quality supervision.

  • If you’re a therapist who’s craving more confidence, boundaries, or alignment in your work - or you’re ready to grow your practice without burnout - consultation offers a supportive space to get grounded, reflect, and realign with your purpose.

My style is similar to how I work with clients - relational and authentic. I will also assist you in supporting your own nervous system so I will gently guide you to slow down, check in with yourself, and find self-compassion in your own work.

To me, finding consistency and authenticity is very important so our work will be grounded in that! I also love talking about marketing and business growth, so im happy to support that aspect of your work.

  • Every consultation is tailored to your needs. We might explore clinical cases, countertransference, complex trauma and nervous system work, group creation, burnout prevention, business systems, boundaries, marketing authentically, and how to build a practice that actually supports you as a human, not just your clients.

  • Depends on your needs!

Sessions are 55 minutes and can range from one time to ongoing consistent care.

One time fee is $275, 3 pack totals $780 ($260 per session), or an ongoing bi-weekly to monthly requires a 3 month minimum commitment and is $250 per session.

And yes - it is a business expense so you could write off as deductible!
